First paleo breakfast

Happy Valentine's day! For the past week or so I've been reading a bit about a diet called the Paleo diet. It's basic premise is that the human genome adjusted, through evolutionary processes, to perform best under a certain diet. This diet can succinctly be called the "caveman diet" since it mostly mimicks what a person living in the swingin' Paleolithic era would eat-- lots of lean meats, fish, seafood and non-starchy vegetables and plenty of fruits. I feel that since about 2 months ago I've really let my usually strict diet go-- and as an effect of this, been feeling physically worse-- tired, not as happy as usual, not as strong as usual, etc.. So I decided to give this diet a shot, to kind of get me back on track. Here's my breakfast today

It was really easy to make, well you would think too, since it's my first stab at this. The salad is just a spring mix salad from wegman's with some baby carrots added cause I had them. Tossed a bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar with lime juice as a dressing. Got some strawberries in there, and then smoked salmon for the meat portion. The salmon is the unhealthiest thing in there, but it's what I had, figured on using it. The reason smoked salmon is considered unhealthy, in any diet, is due to it's high sodium content. I damn love it though! Must be the salt. Anyways, I'm not the type of guy to have a hard time dropping something that's bad for me just because I love it.

If you're a paleo beginner, or just want to eat a pretty delicious breakfast, would definitely recommend.
